Higgsfield AI Description

Higgsfield AI review: useful video tools, but budget for the credits

Higgsfield makes most sense when you have a specific shot to create or an existing video to transform. Genjutsu handles motion transfer and selective replacements; AI Influencer builds a reusable character. That combination is interesting for short social clips and ad variations. The subscription price alone, however, tells you little about how much experimentation you can afford.

Our verdict: worth considering for creators with a clear reference and a controlled production budget. Start with one short task and check its credit estimate before committing to a larger workflow.

What we actually tested

“I paid USD 19 per month for Starter, tested Genjutsu, and ran out of credits after three videos.”

That is the full extent of our hands-on test. We have not tested AI Influencer or Katana. The feature explanations below come from official documentation; the workflow examples are suggestions, not results we generated.

Three videos used up this particular allowance. It does not mean every Starter subscription buys exactly three videos: we do not have the clip lengths, resolutions or generation settings needed to calculate a repeatable cost per video. It does show why a small plan can feel restrictive when you are learning a demanding tool.

Genjutsu: transform footage you already have

Genjutsu offers two different approaches:

  • Motion Transfer: use the movement, camera and timing of a reference clip to guide a rebuilt scene.
  • Object Swap: replace a selected element, such as an outfit or product, while aiming to preserve the rest of the footage.

The official generator supports a 4–30-second reference video and up to 30 reference images. Each run displays its credit cost before generation.

Example workflow: film a short turn toward the camera, then supply a character reference for a new version of that performance. For a product variation, try changing one prop first. Compare the result with the original around hands, edges and fast movement before using it in an ad. These are proposed checks, not defects observed in our three-video trial.

AI Influencer: build the character before the video

The updated AI Influencer studio uses 19 menu settings and three character styles: Average, Bold and Extreme. An optional photo can anchor the face. A generation returns a portrait and a full-body image; the Motion tab connects the character to Genjutsu. Characters can also be selected in Cinema Studio.

Example workflow: define one recurring presenter, save the character, and plan a small set of scenes around it. Review facial consistency across scenes before building a whole account around the persona. We have not tested that consistency ourselves.

Where Katana fits

Higgsfield also presents Katana as a way to recreate the structure of a reference edit with new characters or products. It is relevant when you already know the edit you want to reproduce. It is not part of our hands-on verdict.

Pricing: Starter, Plus and Ultra

The following amounts were displayed on the official pricing page from France on October 12, 2026. They are in EUR, exclude VAT and local taxes, and may differ from another region or an existing subscription.

Individual plans — observed EUR prices
Plan Monthly billing Annual billing* Credits/month
Starter €19 €19/month 270
Plus €59 €47/month 1,200
Ultra €129 €99/month 3,000

*Monthly equivalent with annual billing. Ultra also offers larger credit allocations. Our USD 19 Starter payment is historical test experience, not a claim about today’s USD price.

Starter lists selected model access. Plus and Ultra list broader access. The monthly cards currently show two free Genjutsu generations at 720p for Plus and Ultra, versus none for Starter; annual cards show three. Promotional allowances and unlimited windows need checking at purchase.

Pros and cons

Reasons to consider it

  • Two distinct ways to reuse footage instead of starting every scene from scratch.
  • A documented path from character creation to motion and scene production.
  • Credit estimates let you assess a run before spending.

Reasons to be cautious

  • Our Starter allowance was exhausted after three Genjutsu videos.
  • Plan credits are not a fixed number of finished, usable clips.
  • Model access, billing period and temporary offers complicate comparisons.
  • Our limited trial cannot establish output quality across every feature.

FAQ

Is Starter enough for Genjutsu?

It may suit a small trial, but our experience leaves little room for confidence about repeated experimentation. Check the estimate for your actual clip before choosing a plan.

Does a subscription mean unlimited video generation?

No. Unlimited offers apply to named models and conditions. Do not assume they cover Genjutsu or every production tool.

Should I choose Plus or Ultra?

Estimate your monthly runs, including revisions, then compare the allowance and model access. A larger plan only helps if its included capacity matches the work you will actually do.

Can I use Genjutsu outputs commercially?

Higgsfield’s Genjutsu FAQ says commercial use is permitted subject to its terms. Use footage, faces and product assets you have the rights to use.

Before subscribing: choose one concrete task, inspect the generation cost, and confirm your local price and included access.
