Fourier Lab, a leading robotics company, has recently unveiled their latest creation – the GR-2 humanoid robot. This new addition to the Fourier GRx Robot Series has been built upon valuable customer feedback and data, resulting in significant upgrades in hardware, design, and software.
Next-Level Hardware Design
One of the standout features of the GR-2 is its integrated cabling design, which allows for concealed wires and more compact packaging. This not only enhances the robot’s aesthetic appeal but also improves debugging, lowers manufacturing costs, and enhances its ability to transition from AI simulation to real-world applications. With a height of 175 cm, weight of 63 kg, and a battery life of 2 hours, the GR-2 is designed for optimal performance.
GR-2 introduces 12-DoF dexterous hands, double the dexterity of previous models. These hands are designed to mirror the flexibility of human physiology, allowing the robot to adapt seamlessly to complex tasks with greater precision. Equipped with seven types of distinct FSA actuators, GR-2 can navigate complex tasks with flexibility, peak torques of 380 N.m, and a speed of 5 km/h.
